Reach truck driver/Warehouse operative

MK Personnel are delighted to be recruiting for a Reach Truck driver together with general warehouse duties to join a warm friendly company.

• Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
• Friday: 08:00 – 16:30
• Breaks (unpaid): 15 minutes mid-morning, 30 minutes lunch, 15 minutes afternoon

About the Role

Our client is seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Operative to join our friendly and supportive team within the fine food distribution sector. This is a clean, well-organised warehouse environment where high standards of hygiene, accuracy, and care are essential due to the nature of the products handled.

You will play a key role in the smooth operation of goods in, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch, ensuring that customer orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Picking and packing orders accurately using scanning systems
• Loading and unloading vehicles safely and efficiently
• Receiving, checking, and storing incoming goods
• Ensuring stock is stored correctly and rotation principles are followed (FIFO)
• Operating warehouse equipment safely in line with training and procedures
• Maintaining a clean, tidy, and compliant working environment at all times
• Supporting general warehouse duties as required to meet daily operational needs
• Working collaboratively as part of a close-knit team where everyone contributes regardless of role

Essential Requirements

• Proven experience in warehouse operations, particularly in picking, scanning, loading, and unloading
• Valid Reach Truck Licence
• Minimum of 1 year’s experience operating forklift trucks in a warehouse environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
• Good understanding of health & safety practices in a warehouse setting
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work effectively as part of a team

Desirable Experience

• Previous experience in food distribution or fine food products
• Experience working in a high-standard, cleanliness-focused warehouse environment
• Long-term roles with stable employment history demonstrating commitment and reliability
