We are delighted to be recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer Technician.

The Engineering Technician is responsible for Installation, maintenance, repair, modification and safety to maintain operations, productivity and site facilities including all relevant documentation & MS.

Our client are a growing business so you must have the flexibility to work all shifts as required by the business.

Currently the shift pattern:

6am – 14:30hrs, 13:30hrs – 21:00hrs all these shifts are subject to change.

You will also be required to work 1 in 4 weekends, however this is subject to change depending on the needs of the business. Also overtime is available.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and participate in installation, modification, major repairs and preventative maintenance activity.
  • Provide demonstrated safety awareness and performance in the department and throughout the QCC.
  • Lead and participate in all, capital & maintenance projects.
  • Manage/ assist outside contractors as necessary.
  • Participate in the development & implementation of the preventative maintenance program and ensure substance and compliance.
  • Management of maintenance parts, tools and departmental areas.
  • Maintain or improve productivity standards by co-operation at all levels & developing efficient practices. Implement ways to increase productivity levels/performance through knowledge of formal continuous improvement methodology (Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TQM, etc.)
  • Coordinate contingency plans to minimize operational interruptions in the event of equipment breakdowns.
  • Adhere to our clients policies as stated in company manuals, training manuals or other written communications in addition to all relevant UK legislation.
  • Maintain accurate and complete departmental records.

Functional Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate and give direction verbally and in writing.
  • Must have demonstrated technical skills/certification in Electrical and Mechanical

Education, Experience & Certifications:

  • Electrical and Mechanical Certification
  • Engineering Maintenance, HVAC/refrigeration, electrical, PLC Logic
  • Must be able to read and interpret mechanical drawings, construction drawings, machine manuals, electrical blueprints/electrical schematics.
  • Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
