Installation & Service Manager / Contracts Manager

Milton Keynes | Full-Time | Permanent | Competitive Salary

MK Personnel Solutions are excited to be recruiting for an experienced Installation & Service Manager to join a well-established and growing company based in Milton Keynes.

This is a senior-level opportunity suited to candidates with strong experience in service contracts, maintenance operations, installation project management and subcontractor management.

You will be responsible for developing and driving a profitable service, maintenance and installation strategy, managing subcontractor networks across the UK, and overseeing projects from sales order through to client sign-off.

The Role – Installation & Service Manager

This is a commercially focused and operational leadership role with full responsibility for the performance and profitability of service, maintenance and installation contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a strategy to drive profitable growth across service, maintenance and installation operations
  • Work closely with UK Sales to increase revenue from service and maintenance contracts
  • Generate profitable sales of service/maintenance agreements to key customers
  • Develop and manage a UK-wide network of subcontractors
  • Full responsibility for service and installation contracts from order receipt to client completion
  • Manage subcontractor performance, compliance and training requirements
  • Project manage national roll-out installation programmes
  • Conduct site surveys and prepare installation specifications
  • Negotiate pricing and manage cost control
  • Liaise with site contacts and internal sales teams
  • Develop and implement call-out procedures for service contracts
  • Produce monthly performance and cost analysis reports
  • Support overseas subsidiaries and distributors with technical service networks where required

Key Performance Measures:

  • Service and maintenance costs versus sales revenue
  • Installation costs versus sales revenue
  • On-time project completion (required vs actual)
  • Service call-out response performance
  • Monthly operational and financial reporting

Experience & Qualifications Required:

  • 5–10 years’ experience in a similar Service Manager, Contracts Manager, Installation Manager or Maintenance Manager role
  • Proven sales experience of service and maintenance agreements
  • Experience outsourcing and managing subcontractors
  • Strong project management background
  • Experience liaising directly with customers and site contacts
  • Knowledge of on-site Health & Safety regulations
  • Ability to read and interpret site drawings and specifications
  • CITB certification
  • Full clean driving licence
  • Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office and Excel
